Roles guide

Who will you be?

We’ve designed all the roles in Aftermath to ensure every player will have an awesome day. Regardless of what role you play, whether it’s as a member of one of the many survivor teams or as a civil servant in a Gold or Silver Command we expect you’ll have a fantastic time.

You can find an outline of the types of roles that will be available to choose from below:

Government teams (Gold is made up of six players while each Silver Command has three operational players each. The BBC reports on the chaos)
Survivor groups (Three roles exist in each survivor group and they’ll be focused on rebuilding their communities)

GOLD & SILVER COMMANDS

The British Government has been decimated and is trying to rebuild the country.

No one ever thought this could happen, but of course the Civil Service has a plan. The response includes multi-agency Gold and Silver Commands. Made up senior members of the civil authorities, military personnel and police, these organisations ultimately report to the Civil Contingencies Committee (COBRA) which is managed by senior politicians and civil servants.

COBRA will be represented by our facilitators and you can be sure the Gold and Silver Commands will be afforded all the appropriate resources and support with which to rebuild the country.

SURVIVOR GROUPS

These are the people, either through dumb luck, preparedness or simply being more dangerous than the apocalypse managed to survive.

They did so by staying outside the government’s communities and they perhaps no longer wish to live within their comparative safety and undoubted rules structure.

Survivors will want to survive the aftermath and rebuild their lives. Will it be in coordination with other survivor groups and against the government or will everyone want to rebuild the country in harmony?
